Beyondly conduct materiality assessment, shaping their journey to become a Business for Good

Beyondly is on a journey to become a Business for Good and a B Corporation certified company. As part of this, we conducted a materiality assessment survey in order to identify the most important issues to both our internal and external stakeholders. This exercise allowed us to focus our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting on the most significant topics to our business, whilst taking account of what is important to our stakeholders.

We have since created our first ESG report for the 2021-22 financial year, to replace our previous Corporate Social Responsibility annual report; utilising the more thorough structure for building a full business impact summary aligned with our B Corp journey, and further quantify our efforts in each area. In complement to the ESG structure, we have chosen to make reference to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) throughout this report. These goals represent the World’s agenda for equitable, socially inclusive and economically sustainable economic development.

You can assess our complete ESG report here.

You can see within our ESG report the areas included within the materiality assessment survey, and after receiving and collating the results, we investigated each issue ranking highest overall for internal vs external stakeholders, and for each individual stakeholder group.

Subsequently, we finalised a list of six factors (see table below) which were ranked as the highest priority areas, so we will be focussing on these in the coming year in terms of actions, targets, and reporting.

We will continue to monitor our performance in the other categories surveyed also, and will review the highest priority topics on an annual basis by revising, improving, and repeating the materiality assessment process.

We would like to thank all our stakeholders who supported us with our materiality assessment by filling in our survey, allowing us to identify next year's focus areas for the business as we continue our journey to be a business for good.
