Emily B (1)

My career has really taken shape at Beyondly. Joining in 2020 as Sales & Marketing administrator, I was able to truly learn the ins and outs of Beyondly - how the business works, our services and, most importantly, where I fit, and how I can have an impact. I am a very driven person, so throughout my development I have benefitted from always having goals set, engaging in training courses and working closely with my line manager to understand what I can do better, all with the intention of supporting the business in my role.

When I joined, I had already started my Level 6 Diploma with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and Beyondly was such a supportive environment to finish this qualification. The needs of the marketing department quickly shifted as the business grew, creating a natural progression for me to Marketing Coordinator in October 2021. In this role I was able to work to my strengths, and I quickly realised that marketing was the right career for me. I started to coordinate campaigns, our webinars & newsletters, and started to dip my toe into our company partnerships.

With time and exposure to the results and impact of the work I did as Marketing Coordinator, I started to take ownership of multiple areas within the Marketing function - looking after our company partners, leading campaign activity, and overseeing member communications. It was these areas that supported my development to Marketing Leader.

As Marketing Leader I achieved Chartered Marketer with the CIM, and within Beyondly I became the go to person for Partnerships – a fast-growing source of lead generation – and other key pillars of the marketing function: Digital Marketing, Member Communications and Campaigns. I had truly found a love for these areas of marketing and I was passionate about learning, so I attended a Digital Marketing Masterclass course and - with the support of a career mentor and working closely with our Brand Marketing Manager - decided to put forward a business case for a brand new role. This role would split the key commercial and key brand areas of marketing, allowing each area to have the attention it deserves, and I became Commercial Marketing Manager in 2026.
