Becoming a B Corp: Why It Matters to Us
At Beyondly, being a business for good has always been part of who we are. Even before achieving B Corp™ certification, sustainability, social responsibility, and transparency were embedded into our company DNA and the way we operated; from how we treat our people and engage with our community, to how we serve our clients and partners.
Becoming a Certified B Corporation™ in September 2022 was a natural next step for us. The certification, verified by B Lab™, recognises companies that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. B Corps lead the way in using business as a force for good, and we are proud to be part of a global movement working to drive real change and benefit people and the planet.
The Journey
Our B Corp journey began with a deep dive into the B Impact™ Assessment which evaluates performance across five key areas: governance, workers, community, environment, and customers.
Always striving towards a better way, this process helped us identify opportunities to ensure continuous improvement and strengthen our impact further.
Achieving certification in 2022 has allowed us to be part of the powerful B Corp movement and join a community of over 2,700 like-minded businesses in the UK. It has also provided us with the opportunity to work with new businesses and attract talent via organisations and employees seeking to work with or for B Corps that align with their own values.
Our Commitment to People & Planet
Guided by our commitment to balancing profit alongside people and the planet, we have continued to grow our social and environmental action through a range of initiatives:
-
Donate 5% of our annual net profit to selected charities each year through our Fund for Change programme.
-
Launched our Beyondly Forest as a small act of appreciation for our customers and stakeholders, and one way we commit to reducing our carbon footprint.
-
Established a number of external partnerships and collaborated on the delivery of impactful projects to drive forward our ESG strategy, including WRAP, RECOUP, and the National Oceanography Centre (NOC).
-
Conduct materiality assessments every 2 years to help inform our ESG focus areas.
-
Introduced our cycle to work, electric vehicle, and car share schemes.
-
Introduced enhanced family leave, life leave, ethical marketing, and breastfeeding policies.
-
Reduced the payment gap between the highest and lowest paid staff members.
-
Moved to a Net Zero office with a ground-sourced heat pump.
A fundamental part of our journey was redefining our vision, purpose, and values, to align with B Corp principles:
- Vision: To create a better, fairer, sustainable world for all
- Purpose: To lead, inspire, and educate to positively impact society and the environment
- Values: Trust, Commitment, Respect, Passion, and Innovation

Continuing the Journey: 2025 Recertification & Beyond
We are proud to have achieved our B Corp re-certification in 2025, with an improved score of 98.1 (increasing from 85.7 in 2022). This improvement reflects the progress we have made since our initial certification, and demonstrates our continued dedication to embedding sustainability deeper across our operations.
Beyondly is incredibly proud to be recognised for the work we do to help create a better, fairer, and more sustainable world for all. Always striving towards further improvement, we are excited to continue on our B Corp journey and grow our impact.
