Beyondly host the ‘Beyondly Circle Member Day’ at Eighteen, Birmingham
On Thursday 27th November 2025, the Beyondly team hosted our Beyondly Circle Member Day, a member-exclusive event at luxury B Corp venue Eighteen in Birmingham.
The venue
Eighteen is a private members’ club on the 18th floor of 103 Colmore Row, featuring luxury, contemporary interiors and stunning panoramic views across Birmingham. It is run by B-Corp certified organisation x+why, offering flexible workspaces to bring people and ideas together and amplify great work to the wider business world. It was very important to us that the venue offered a welcoming and innovative space for hosting and networking, but that it also aligned with our brand and Beyondly values. As a fellow B Corp, we were delighted to host our Beyondly Circle Member Day at Eighteen – a venue that inspires creativity, learning, and collaboration.
The event
Our Beyondly Circle Member Day provided a fantastic opportunity for our packaging members to network with professionals from across sectors, hear the latest updates on packaging compliance and sustainability, and take part in live Q&As. Commercial Director Oksana Rigby commented, "It was great to see so many of our members as working together day to day is important, but meeting face to face adds a different value. It helps us get to know you and your business needs more deeply, builds a more personal connection, and that’s exactly what Beyondly is all about."
Members also had the chance to meet our new Director of Policy & Public Affairs, Alex Hilton. Alex joined the Beyondly board in 2025 as the fourth statutory director, bringing 20 years’ experience from senior civil service roles, including Head of Governance and Government Relations at PackUK. He also played a leading role in developing the Recyclability Assessment Methodology (RAM), a key tool for assessing packaging under EPR. You can find out more about Alex's journey to Beyondly here.
Joining Alex at the Beyondly Circle Member Day event was an excellent line-up from the Beyondly team:
- Oksana Rigby, Commercial Director
- Catherine Guy, Relationship Manager
- Faye Perry, Head of Packaging
- Charlotte Davies (PISEP, AssocMCIWM) Senior Consultant - Resource Efficiency & Circularity
- Chantelle Clark, Packaging Services Manager
- James Marchant, Data Quality & Compliance Leader (Packaging)
- Sarah Conroy, Packaging Relationship Support
- Ellie Hickery, Packaging Account Manager
- Rachael Holland, Packaging Account Manager
Our events serve as powerful platforms for networking and sharing thought leadership, as well as delivering against our organisational purpose: to lead, inspire, and educate to positively impact society and the environment. We wanted to ensure that the Beyondly Circle Member Day contributed to this mission, creating lasting value for our members and a positive ripple effect beyond the event itself.
Our comprehensive agenda covered the latest packaging EPR policy updates and developments, a refresher on submission guidance, and insights on leveraging packaging sustainability to help manage EPR compliance costs. Some of the event highlights included:
- Alex Hilton and Catherine Guy’s insightful and thought-provoking EPR policy update to help members stay ahead in packaging
- Charlotte Davies’ ‘Material top trumps’ which highlighted the impact of production, recyclability at scale, RAM fees, opportunity for re-use, and carbon impact across different materials
- Sarah Conroy’s informative presentation on dual branding, helping members to understand their dual and multi-branded packaging obligations
Alex commented, "The member event was an excellent opportunity to hear from our members, and support them in getting to grips with some of the complexity of the regulations. Being face to face really supported community knowledge and insight sharing."
We would like to say a huge thank you to our speakers and valued members for making our final event of 2025 so valuable. We encourage members to reach out to your Account Manager or email [email protected] if you’d like support applying these insights to your packaging data and reporting.
In 2026, Beyondly will mark its 20th anniversary – an important milestone for our organisation. We have exciting plans throughout the year, with our members at the heart of the celebrations, and we hope to host even more in-person events so we can connect and celebrate together.
