PackUK brings forward deadline for 2025 packaging data resubmissions
Producers who pay pEPR fees have until 1 September 2026 to resubmit 2025 packaging data to affect Year 2 disposal fees and Notices of Liability.
PackUK has confirmed that producers who pay pEPR fees have until 1 September 2026 to resubmit 2025 packaging data to affect their Year 2 Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) disposal fees and Notices of Liability.
Introduced on behalf of the four UK nations, the deadline replaces the previously communicated November date and gives producers five months from the 1 April regulatory reporting deadline to correct submission errors.
What producers need to know
Corrections to 2025 packaging data must be submitted to the relevant regulator by 1 September 2026 to be reflected in confirmed disposal fees and Notices of Liability.
Producers should begin reviewing and correcting any 2025 data reporting errors now in advance of this deadline.
Impact on fees
After 1 September, resubmissions will not affect Notices of Liability or EPR disposal fee rates. PackUK will use the packaging data in the system on that date to calculate confirmed Year 2 fees and issue Notices of Liability later in the year.
Late registrations or initial submissions made after 1 September will still receive a Notice of Liability calculated at the same rates. Regulators will also continue compliance monitoring after the deadline.
PackUK published illustrative fees for Year 2 in December 2025. These remain subject to change, and PackUK does not intend to publish further illustrative fees before confirmed Year 2 figures are issued. As in Year 1, producers will have 50 calendar days to pay their Notice of Liability, with the option to pay in instalments.
Can data still be corrected after 1 September?
Yes; producers are still expected to correct and resubmit data after 1 September where needed, but those changes will not affect disposal fees.
PRN obligations will still be adjusted after 1 September, but disposal fees will not.
Beyondly will continue to support members with the latest pEPR requirements. If you have questions about your packaging data or the impact of this update, please contact your Account Manager or email [email protected].
