I confirm that your/my company meets the following criteria to be obligated under the Packaging Regulations:

1.    Turnover Threshold
  • Producer Responsibility (PR): A turnover of £2 million or more, as confirmed by the most recent set of accounts, including any subsidiaries if the company is part of a group. The turnover must be from the most recent accounts filed by April 7th of the registration year (for example, for the 2024 compliance year, accounts must be filed by 7th April 2024; for the 2025 compliance year, accounts must be filed by 7th April 2025, and so on).
  • Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR):  
    • Small: A turnover of £1 million or more, based on the most recent set of accounts, including any subsidiaries if the company is part of a group.
    • Large: A turnover of £2 million or more, based on the most recent set of accounts, including any subsidiaries if the company is part of a group. 

Note: the turnover must be from the most recent accounts filed by April 7th of the data year (the data year is the calendar year for which packaging data is reported).

2.    Tonnes Threshold
  • Producer Responsibility (PR): The company handled over 50 tonnes of packaging in the last calendar year, including any packaging handled by associated companies within the group. When calculating this, do not include packaging or packing material that was exported or provided to another entity for export. This includes supplies sent to the Isle of Man, Channel Islands, and Republic of Ireland. The company must be able to demonstrate the packaging that has been exported, with appropriate classification and reporting in the relevant data tables.
  • Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR):
    • Small: The company, including any subsidiaries if the company is part of a group, supplied over 25 tonnes of packaging to the UK market under the EPR packaging activities. Exports do not need to be considered.
    • Large: The company, including any subsidiaries if the company is part of a group, supplied over 50 tonnes of packaging to the UK market under the EPR packaging activities. Exports do not need to be considered.

Note: the EPR packaging activities are supplied under own brand; packed or filled as unbranded; imported; supplied as empty; hired or loaned; supplied via an online marketplace; selling. 
Note: the tonnes threshold is in relation to packaging supplied to the UK market under the EPR packaging activities in the calendar year prior to the data reporting year (for example, prior to reporting 2024 data a company should consider the total tonnes supplied to the UK market in 2023).

Note that by acknowledging this statement you are accepting your/my company meets the regulation thresholds. If it transpires that your business has not met the specified thresholds, then you may still be charged an admin fee by Beyondly for the work already carried out.
