Our Policy Leader, Martin Hyde, volunteered to speak at Derbyshire voluntary community group Transition Chesterfield’s webinar series on the circular economy

On Saturday 26 June, Transition Chesterfield are hosting the fifth in a series of zoom events on Climate Change, in preparation for the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in November to be held in Glasgow. The community group approached our Policy Leader, Martin Hyde to be on the panel amongst other industry experts speaking at the event on 26 June, which is focused on circular economy.

Transition Chesterfield run a number of projects and campaigns in an effort to raise awareness of climate change, ensuring that the area of Chesterfield becomes more resilient, sustainable, low-carbon and locally self-sufficient. This webinar series aims to bring together experts within the industry, to identify actions required to achieve a zero-carbon society in Chesterfield.

Martin has both a professional and personal interest in circular economy, making this a great opportunity to share his strong knowledge on the topics covered; including packaging recycling, which, as we know is set to change drastically in the next few years, followed by a Q&A session to close.
